Valsir has commenced the fabrication and sale of a new product that has been designed especially for refrigerating systems: the new multi-layer Pexal pipe covered with a special insulating layer with a thickness of 10mm.
Such a thickness (greater than the usual 6mm) combined with the specific properties of the insulating material in PEHD with closed cells and with a conductance coefficient of
=0.0397 W/mK, allow the:
Elimination of the formation of condensation, and therefore of the risk of damages to walls and ceilings.
A significant reduction of energy consumption, an important factor above all today when the cost of energy is on the increase.
The new multi-layer Pexal pipe for systems with refrigerated water is made up of:

Characteristics of the insulation
Material: closed cell high density polyethylene
Density: 33 Kg/m³
Tensile strength: > 0.18N/mm²
Tear elongation: > 80%
Vapour passage: < 0.15 ng/Pa.s.m
Fire behaviour: flame retardant class 1
Thermal conductivity (at 40°C): l=0.0397 W/mK
Insulation thickness: 10 mm for all diameters
